The intervention Malou is doing involves milling clay with a CNC machine. She is using ceramic tools instead of the usual tools for milling. A 2D pattern is created and used as input for the CNC machine, resulting in a 3D pattern when the clay is formed. It’s all about exploring the space between her 2D pattern design and the final outcome, which will be dramatically different in terms of pattern and texture.
